Musée de la Romanité – Museography Delivery of the building to the City of Nîmes on August 31st

Elizabeth de Portzamparc has the pleasure to announce the delivery of the building of the Musée de la Romanité to the City of Nîmes, after 33 months of construction work. A completion-of-work visit has been held on August 31st in the presence of Mr. Jean-Paul Fournier, Mayor of Nîmes and Senator of the Gard, and other personalities.

The museum will not be open to the public before next year, after the archeological garden, the collections and the museography have been installed. Meanwhile, the volumes, the façade and the building’s relation with the Arenes are already part of the landscape of the city.
